New gameplay content showcased during Summer Game Fest

Bel's Fanfare Future Games Show Trailer

Shortly after the Bel’s Fanfare Kickstarter campaign ended, we were presented with an incredible opportunity to participate in Summer Game Fest 2026 by showcasing new content in a trailer at the Future Games Show.

The Future Game Show is broadcast on all major streaming platforms and across multiple outlets including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Steam, BiliBili and more; showcasing upcoming video game releases, world premieres, exclusive game demos and content from Indie developers to AAA releases.

An important step in helping players get discovered, but it also provides a great opportunity for studios with more limited resources to showcase their work to the world.

Studios like ours, and games like Bel’s Fanfare, which have made an appearance in this summer edition with a new trailer. Here it is!

What’s new? In summary:

  • New theme song.
  • New Boss Arena.
  • New NPCs
  • New areas.

The new footage showcases new areas of The Witch of the Sea, such as the Crew Hub and the Captain’s Tower, along with some NPCs and a sneak peek at a new Boss Battle! (Does that giant apple ring a bell?).

We also created a new arrangement of the main theme. This time, we increased the sense of epicness and excitement with rhythmic trumpet motifs in the background. We hope you enjoyed it!

The Crew Hub

Beneath the luxuries granted to the passengers of the Witch of the Sea, there lies a humble town, busy as a beehive, colored by characters of all kinds: the Crew Hub. Populated by the crew members, this is their place to gather, sleep and have lunch, but most importantly, exercise their good use of gossip.

Indeed, gossip is the strongest currency in the Crew Hub, for there is no rumor that escapes their knowledge. Doing some favors may just get you the information you need! After all, in a community of this size, privacy is a luxury and secrets never last.

Eden’s Battle

You probably remember the peculiar Chef from The Witch of the Sea, an apple-man golem controlled by five snakes: Sweet, Salty, Sour, Bitter, and Umami.

The brief clip shown in the trailer features part of the battle “against” him. We can’t say much more yet, but we hope you enjoy the bizarre sight of a caramel apple chasing you around and trying to smash you!

New Theme Song: The Crew Hub

With this theme we wanted to portray a busy and lively atmosphere, where people share moments of camaraderie and commiseration. We wanted the music to encourage the player to explore and talk to everyone. The variations in tone reflect the variety of problems we face in everyday life.

We fell in love inmediatly with how Ellery, an independent musician from Nashville (USA) and Bel’s Fanfare OST composer, conveyed all we wanted for this place and I hope you get through this music what you are going to experience exploring this area.

We’d like to thank and welcome everyone who is supporting Bel’s Fanfare through Late Pledges. We’re really encouraged to see that so many people are still discovering the project and trusting us enough to support it in advance.

Our community is also growing every day as we share our passion and hobby in this space we’ve created on Discord, so don’t hesitate to join the fun!

If you’d like to support the game even more, you can add it to your Steam wishlist and subscribe to the Chibig newsletter so you don’t miss any important announcements, gain access to exclusive content, and enjoy a few other surprises.

What do you think of the new content? We’d love to hear from you in the comments!
